Walden offers two gorgeous outdoor ceremony locations to choose from, providing a spectacular backdrop for the ‘I Do’s’.
The Walden Pond features sparkling waters with rolling hills, and the lush Walden Gardens are picturesque and classic with a beautiful white garden arbor and countryside views.
Both are perfectly situated to behold remarkable sunsets and views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We provide classic white folding chairs for up to 180 guests, and a choice of white or black ceremony arbor.

We know how much time, anticipation, and investment goes into a wedding, which is exactly the reason time slows down at Walden. We want you to savor every moment surrounded by loved ones from near and far. Numerous amenities and activities are provided for you and your guests, allowing you to fully relax while taking in the breathtaking views.
The Barn
The event barn was built for entertaining! The generous floor-plan allows seating for up to 160 inside the barn. For parties exceeding 160, tenting the entrance provides an option for additional covered seating area. The fully heated and air conditioned interior boasts five stunning chandeliers, romantic ceiling draping, dance floor lighting for DJ use, elegant wall sconces, custom window treatment, and pallet wood walls– a perfect blank canvas for any decor.

The Walden Manor
Walden Hall’s Main Manor offers luxurious space for ten guests with a chef’s kitchen, a game room, an arcade, access to the semi-heated saltwater pool and grilling area, and much more. Our most grande suite, often selected as our Wedding or Honeymoon Suite, the Walt Whitman Grande is a multiple room accommodation with outstanding appointments. From your king-sized, four poster canopy bed, enjoy soft music and a cozy fire. This beautiful room is decorated in silvers and shimmering neutral tones to reflect Walden Hall’s glorious sunsets. Enjoy morning coffee, afternoon tea or a local wine in the intimate seating area overlooking Walden’s Pond and views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. With this room, enjoy exclusive access to a second floor screened porch with a two person lounge hot tub. The Walt Whitman Grande also comes with a large dressing room and private salon for extra comfort and space – a perfect spot to watch wedding guests and friends gather at Walden’s Pond below, as the beautiful bride awaits her moment.
The Emerson Pool Suite is a stunning suite that comfortably fits an additional four guests. Offering a full kitchen and dining space, full bath, and direct access to the semi-heated saltwater pool and the grilling area. The loft is cozy, yet very spacious, and can accommodate four more guests. This loft features a queen and king bed, a fully appointed galley kitchen, full bath with rain-head shower, and room to roam.

We are centrally located 90 minutes from Washington D.C. and 40 minutes from Charlottesville, Virginia. We are just minutes from downtown Culpeper, with quaint shopping, top-notch dining, a selection of accommodations for wedding guests, and a convenient Amtrak station.
