Walden is in its third year of operation and is an Certificate Of Excellence recipient by Trip Advisor as well as similar types of recognition by Yelp, Booking.com and Expedia. Bald Top is in its first year of business and has tapped a huge need for its excellent beverages and customer care, and creative events offerings. Our customers are local, regional, national and international in origin.
We seek experienced candidates to apply for a newly created Event Manager position to join our energetic team to lead in the sales and cross-selling of the businesses’ events offerings as each continues to grow and provide excellence to customers. Our need is immediate. Our employment program includes a combination of base salary, performance objectives and financial payouts, and sales commissions that can amount to a total annualized compensation of $50,000 or higher.
Proven and excellent interpersonal skills – both in-person (e.g., tours, expos), via telephone, and written via email and social media
At least 3 years of successful event marketing, sales, and pre-/day-of/post event coordination experience for weddings, parties, fundraisers, corporate events and other large functions typically ranging from 50 to 200 participants
Demonstrated organization skills when managing potential and existing clients, vendors (wedding planners, caterers), and coordinating with Walden Hall and Bald Top management and work colleagues
Demonstrated competence in performing market research on clients and competitors
Experience with Google Drive and basic social media and email functions
Experience with use of online event and invoicing software (Wedding Wire, Honeybook or similar)
High energy, can-do and team attitudes a must
